Getting to
Fishers Island
​Our wedding will take place on Fishers Island, New York, a beautiful and secluded island just off the coast of Connecticut. Though technically part of New York, the island is most easily accessed from New London, Connecticut, via ferry ride. Please find more information below on how to get to New London.
By Train
Amtrak and Shore Line East trains stop directly at the New London Union Station, conveniently located adjacent to the ferry terminal. Once you arrive in the New London Union Station, you simply walk across to the Fisher's Island Ferry.
By Air
The closest airport to New London are:
• Boston (BOS) – (recommended) 1.5 hr Amtrak or 2 hours by car
• Providence (PVD) – about 1 hour by car to New London
• Hartford (BDL) – about 1.5 hours by car
• New York (JFK or LGA) – about 3 hours by car
By Ferry
Ferries to Fishers Island depart from New London Ferry Terminal (5 Ferry Street, New London, CT) and take about 45 minutes each way.​

If you’re planning on bringing your car onto the ferry and over to the island, we recommend pre-booking a ferry reservation, as schedules and availability can vary, especially in summer months. Passanger tickets do not need to be pre-booked.
Once on Fishers Island
Transportation
Fishers Island is small and easy to get around. However, because Ubers and taxis are not available on the island, we recommend bringing a car over. ​​
